Denise Joseph
Denise Joseph is the primary founder of Open Sea Institute and the chief innovator of proprietary OSI-type Coaching and OSI-type Eco Medicine.
Her work centers on internal regulation, pattern resolution, and the stabilization of individuals whose decisions shape families, organizations, and systems.
An experienced executive, lawyer, and Master Certified Professional Coach, Denise was educated at The George Washington University, New York University, and Oxford University.
She has authored academic work in peer-reviewed publications on mental health and public policy and maintains ongoing professional associations in psychoanalytic and Jungian studies.
Advisory & Coaching Work
Denise has served as advisor, ally, and coach to leaders in finance, technology, healthcare, academia, and their families.
Her work is driven by the understanding that healthier internal states produce healthier systems. At Open Sea Institute, her engagements are tailored to the positive, sustainable, and ethical growth of high-impact individuals.
In addition to her formal training in mental health counseling and coaching, Denise pursued specialization in Plant Pharmacology at Cornell University, focusing on ethnobotany, plant chemistry, and sustainable medicine.
She integrates this knowledge with functional medicine, nutrition, herbal extracts, and global healing traditions.
As a long-standing yoga and meditation instructor, Denise draws from decades of immersion in Eastern philosophy, offering an approach to mental health that is grounded, precise, and deeply informed by the natural world.
